How to Lose Weight Before Summer 2025?

healthieva1

We all search for ways to improve different aspects of our lives. How to find a great job? How to ask out someone we like? How to prioritize workouts over social events? And finally, one of the most common questions - how to lose weight before summer? Sound familiar? If so, welcome! You’re in the right place.

As the year begins, many of us start planning summer vacations - days at the beach, wearing swimsuits, and feeling confident in our bodies. Have you looked in the mirror and thought, I need to lose weight before summer? You’re not alone. More and more people struggle with body confidence, and if you relate, let’s talk about it. Can you name three reasons why people feel uncomfortable in their own skin?

When people ask me how to lose weight from specific areas - usually the stomach or arms - I always start with one important question: What are your eating habits? You’ve probably seen plenty of nutrition advice from dietitians, trainers, and influencers. That’s because nutrition is the most important factor in weight loss. So, let me ask you: What did you eat today? What was on your plate yesterday?

Making impossible to possible

This is where the magic begins. If you start writing down everything you eat - your meals, snacks, that handful of cheese, or those weekend treats - you’ll quickly notice patterns. Maybe it was the weekend, and you had a couple of glasses of wine, a beer, and a dessert or two. You tell yourself, It’s just the weekend! But if this happens every weekend, you’re not in a calorie deficit, and weight loss becomes impossible.

Many people indulge on weekends as a way to escape their routine. Over time, this becomes a habit - celebrating every free day with food and drinks. I’m not saying you can’t treat yourself, but if overindulgence is holding you back from your goals, it’s time to reassess.

If you’re still reading, that means you’re serious about making a change. But let’s go back to the beginning - what is your real WHY? Do you want to lose 3kg for yourself? Because your partner suggested it? To look better in pictures? Defining your true motivation will help you stay committed.

Once your goal is clear, making small changes becomes easier. Instead of drinking every weekend, you might reduce it to every second weekend or once a month. Suddenly, you start feeling healthier, and that motivates you to eat better. Maybe you’ll choose a nutritious meal over fast food - not because you have to, but because you want to. Balance is key -you can still enjoy pizza, but in moderation.

Great! You’re already making changes in your nutrition. Now, what about exercise? Have you considered joining a gym? Do you prefer group classes, solo workouts, or outdoor activities like running? Let me know in the comments - what’s your favourite way to move?

The gym can feel intimidating at first. There will be people who look experienced, but also many who are just figuring things out. Everyone starts somewhere. If you’re unsure, ask for help - that’s why gym staff are there! If you’re completely new, hiring a personal trainer for a few sessions can teach you the basics and give you confidence. Need a workout plan? Want to lose fat and build strength? Drop me an email, and we’ll talk! Watching YouTube tutorials can help, but remember - form is everything! Take it slow. Slow progress is better than no progress. Do you agree?

I’ve given you just a few ideas to kickstart your weight loss journey, but we could talk about this for hours. In my next blog, I’ll dive deeper into eating habits, emotional eating, and smart nutrition strategies. I’d love to hear about your experiences - share your thoughts in the comments or send me an email.

Summer is coming. Are you ready to feel your best? Let’s do this together!
